electrical Service and repair calls

Service calls are fundamental to what we do! By far the most common reason people call for an electrician is when something is suddenly not working or they need an electrical repair.

service call Process

Simply call our office and let us know what the problem is and we will work to get someone out to your home as quickly as possible.

Our base rate for a residential service call is $179 (+ tax). This covers our trip charge and the initial diagnosis of the problem or issue.

Once our technician is on site they can assess and determine how to best solve the issue. If larger repairs, parts or diagnosis are needed, they will prepare an estimate with any associated costs and you can decide how you would like to proceed.

We can often make common repairs or fix the problem the same day. If there is a larger issue or outside parts are needed we will schedule a return visit for the work associated with the estimate.

Common reasons for a service call:

  • Non-working outlet or receptacle

  • Breaker that repeatedly “trips”

  • Light fixture not working

  • Flickering or humming lights

  • GFCI outlet tripping or not resetting

  • Non-functional appliances

  • Water heater or HVAC system not working

Remember Safety first while waiting for an electrician to arrive

We try our best to respond to emergency calls and service requests as quickly as possible but can’t always get to your home immediately. While many electrical problems may be inconvenient, please take extra care and be sure to let our team know if you are experiencing any of the following:

  • Breakers that immediately flip back off or are hard to push to reset

  • Sparking outlets or appliances

  • Burning or ozone smells

  • Any appliance or outlet that will not turn off

  • Any damage or downed lines affecting the main power coming to your home (Contact your electric provider first.)

  • Visible physical damage to your panel box

We will try to our best to work in emergencies but if in doubt be sure to unplug any appliances, leave the breaker off and stay away from any down lines or potential safety hazards. When in doubt always err on the side of caution.
